We Build Safety

We Build is strongly committed to safety and maintains one of the finest safety records in the industry. We are pleased to partner with our clients in providing the safest working environment possible.

In 2008, our OSHA recordable rate was 38% below the industry standard, our best record in the last 12 years. Our lost time injury rate has declined steadily. Each year our rate has been at or below the industry average and has declined even though trends indicate our man-hours-worked show a steady increase each year.

OSHCON / MSHA

OSHCON

We Build participates in the voluntary Occupational Safety and Health Consultation (OSHCON) program sponsored by the Texas Department of Insurance.

OSHCON is a federally granted program that provides professional safety consultants across the state to aid in certifying and eliminating occupational hazards.

Since becoming a member, our safety statistics have shown fewer reported injuries and illnesses, and our Loss Ratio for Worker's Compensation is currently 5%.

MSHA

We Build is an MSHA Certified Contractor.  To be certified, members of our staff went through a comprehensive 24 hour training for Part 46 MSHA New Miner Certification.

This certification allows our specilaized maintenance workers to perform above ground work at metal/non-metal mining operations.  We are pursuing Part 48 certification which will allow our staff to perform work on underground operations.

Safety Pays

Because of our excellent safety record, We Build’s costs are less than the national construction industry average. We maintain one of the finest safety records in the industry with ongoing training programs and regular site inspections.

We work closely with professional organizations, including OSHA, OSHCON, and the Associated General Contractors of America, to keep abreast of the latest construction safety technology and regulations. Our safety efforts are rewarded by a safe work environment for employees and substantial insurance savings.

We Build has never had a chargeable violation due to OSHA job site inspections and has strictly complied with all project safety requirements.
