Builders Since 1887

For over a century, we have
provided the industry with unmatched continuity of service. In 1887, our founder
J. W. Harrison left the farm to become a carpenter. With four farm mules and a
Fresno scraper, he began doing site work for local builders. By 1899, he had
established his own reputation for quality construction. A Chamber of Commerce
publication in that year stated, "Many of the handsome buildings In Paris
are a monument to his skill. We feel this company has a bright future."
Second generation Barney Harrison continued his father's legacy and expanded into commercial construction. In the aftermath of the devastating fire of 1916, the company rebuilt most of the downtown plaza of Paris, Texas.

In 1957, the company passed to
the second J. W. Harrison who joined with civil engineer, C. L. Walker. Together
they expanded the company into industrial, institutional and residential
development construction.
After 20 years of working in partnership with Harrison and Walker, Chip Harper leads the business in its fourth generation. Under his influence, the company has had continuous growth throughout the Southwest.
Harrison, Walker & Harper is
recognized today as one of the top general construction firms in the region.
Centered in Northeast Texas, the company has built projects from California to
Kentucky and from Missouri to El Salvador, South America.
Past and present, we are known for being innovative, dependable and responsive. Through tough times and banner years, we have built a wide range of projects that reflect our founders' commitment to quality, integrity and value.
We build on that heritage.
